Recent Los Angeles Discounts:
My Mother’s Keeper, written by Jane Press and directed by Robin McKee, will perform at the Electric Lodge Fridays – Sundays, May 10 through Sunday, June 16, 2013 with a benefit performance on Thursday May 9.
My Mother’s Keeper moves fluidly back and forth between 1914 and the present, taking place within the memories of four generations of women in a show business family. Looking through the lens of the mother-daughter dynamic, My Mother’s Keeper is an examination of our matriarchal inheritance, with all its inherent – and inherited – blessings and curses. It is a moving, sometimes very funny, sometimes disturbing, ultimately healing work.
Part of the proceeds from the May 9 performance will benefit 50/50 Leadership with the money being earmarked for a documentary on the book “Beauty Bites Beast” by Ellen Snortland.
Performance Schedule:
Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm
Sunday, May 12 at 3:00 and 8:00 pm
