Kami Girl: Let's Go, Tonight! at The Lyric Hyperion

Los Angeles, CA – October 4, 2026 – Following its acclaimed run at the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival, Kami Girl, a solo comedy written and performed by Kami Dimitrova, returns to Los Angeles this October for two performances at Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Café.

Equal parts unhinged and heartfelt, Kami Girl is a Borat-meets-I Love Lucy fever dream packed with physical comedy, music, absurd character work and clowning. Directed by Connor Bowen, the show follows a mediocre Bulgarian waitress whose passion for singing keeps derailing her job—and her life.

The upcoming performances will feature a live band led by an accordion player, performing Eastern European covers of familiar pop songs, bringing an unexpected Balkan twist to the show's already chaotic musical world.

“This show is a love letter to all the immigrant kids who at one point had to tell their parents they don’t want to be a lawyer because they like how acting makes them feel,” says Dimitrova. “It’s stupid, it’s physical, it’s deeply personal—and now there’s a live band playing Eastern European versions of pop songs. ABOUT KAMI DIMITROVA

Kami Dimitrova is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor and performer known for blending clown, music and bold, character-driven comedy. She has performed at UCB LA and UCB NY, and has appeared in film and television, including Babes alongside Ilana Glazer and Pamela Adlon. Originally from New York, Dimitrova trained in improv and sketch at UCB before studying clown with Philippe Gaulier in France and at the Idiot Workshop in Los Angeles.

Dimitrova's work has been recognized at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, where Kami Girl was nominated for a World Premiere Solo Show award, and at FlopFest, where she won Best Character Performance.
