Interdisciplinary dance artists Steven Atwater and Thomas Ford will present the world premiere of In Search of an Exit at Sierra Madre Playhouse on May 17 and 18, 2025. This innovative evening-length work delves into themes of otherness and belonging, using a blend of movement, original sound scores, and technology to explore identity and community. Atwater and Ford aim to amplify marginalized voices, drawing inspiration from historically ostracized bodies and sci-fi folklore to create immersive worlds that intertwine social, cultural, and political themes.
