Grupo Corpo at The Music Center

Grupo Corpo, Brazil's acclaimed contemporary dance company, will perform at The Music Center’s Ahmanson Theatre from May 2 to May 4, 2025. This highly anticipated return features two of their innovative works, 21 and Gira, showcasing a seamless blend of classical ballet and Brazilian folk traditions. Choreographed by Rodrigo Pederneiras, both pieces delve into the vibrant cultural rhythms of Brazil, with 21 intricately weaving rhythm and melody, while Gira draws inspiration from Afro-Brazilian religious rituals. Founded in 1975, Grupo Corpo has redefined contemporary dance through their unique artistic vision and powerful performances.
