The Verdi Chorus opens its 43rd season led by Artistic Director Anne Marie Ketchum. The program features operatic sequences from Verdi's Otello, Giovanna d'Arco and Il Corsaro along with selections from Leoncavallo's Pagliacci and Puccini's Le Villi, Tosca, and La Bohème. The concert contrasts Verdi's dramatic writing with verismo opera focused on everyday struggles, closing with an abridged version of the second act of La Bohème.
