Confessions Of A Mulatto Love Child is a solo show written and performed by Bellina Logan, based on her own extraordinary childhood and relationship with her mother. The show is a darkly funny and deeply personal story about growing up biracial in predominantly white environments during the 1960s and 70s, shaped by an eccentric English mother, an absent Black father, and a family life defined by chaos and reinvention across Los Angeles, New York, London, and Spain. As the narrative shifts, Logan finds herself becoming the storyteller, retelling their shared history as her mother's memory fades. Performed with only a handful of chairs and no elaborate set, Logan shifts between accents, physicalities, and perspectives to create the effect of a much larger ensemble cast.
