Los Angeles Ballet presents American Icons, celebrating legendary innovators in American dance and music in honor of America at 250. The program opens with an encore of Artistic Director Melissa Barak's original work Wavelength, created in collaboration with luxury fashion house ETRO with a score by David Lawrence. Also featured are Jerome Robbins' The Cage, a revolutionary 1951 work depicting a tribe of female insects preying on male counterparts, and Paul Taylor's Dilly Dilly, in which 11 dancers frolic to the tunes of American folk singer Burl Ives.
