Newly produced works of one-act treasures, written by some of L.A.’s top playwrights, will be presented this summer throughout June and July. EST/LA is curating an inspiring variety of plays staged by award winning producers, directors and actors.

Playwrights include Tom Baum, Katherine Cortez, Mary Forster, Tony Foster, Elin Hampton, Tony Pasqualini, Deborah Pearl, Carole Real, Karen Rizzo, Thomas Stringer, Nicholas Ullett, and Ian Patrick Williams.

“Celebrating new ideas from our deep bench of talented EST/LA playwrights, directors, and actors, we offer outstanding entertainment in this festival. Ranging from funny to gripping, wild to serene, and reflective to provocative” – Roderick Menzies; Co-Artistic Director

EST/LA Playwrights Unit nurtures the development of new plays by theater professionals and is a gateway to other development programs at EST/LA. Current member playwrights are NYFA, NEA, Guggenheim, Obie, Emmy and Writers Guild Award winners.
