Photo Coverage: Steve Tyrell & Jennifer Leigh Warren kick off Summer Concert Series
On Wednesday, Aug 4, 2010, Grammy winner & Emmy nominee Steve Tyrell and Jennifer Leigh Warren kicked off the annual Summer Concert Series at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, CA.
World renowned artist Steve Tyrell who shot to fame singing "The Way You Look Tonight" in the hit movie 'Father of the Bride' and who has since become a Jazz recording sensation, performed many his greatest hits for the packed audience who lounged on the green and dined in nearby restaurants. His performance included his own material and some of the most beloved standards from the American Songbook. Broadway veteran Jennifer Leigh Warren (Little Shop of Horrors, Big River, Marie Christine) opened for Tyrell showing her incredible range as a singer. Warren began her set with the Anthony Newley & Leslie Bricusse penned "Feeling Good" and ended with Shirley Bassey signature "My Life."
Produced by Chris Isaacson of L.A.'s Upright Cabaret, this was the first of four concerts that are scheduled to perform live at The Americana at Brand in August 2010. Free and open to the public, Summer Concert Series will also include Natasha Bedingfield with Matt Morris and M-Pact (Aug 11), Taylor Dayne with Frenchie Davis and Jake Simpson (Aug 18), and Paula Cole with Tyler Hilton (Aug 25).
