30-60 MINUTE FESTIVAL Summer Edition Applications Open

Combined Artform has opened applications for the inaugural 30–60 Minute Festival, debuting in Hollywood July 23–Aug. 2, 2026, at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre, 5636 Melrose Ave., the festival's official venue partner. As the newest addition to Combined Artform's expanding slate of artist‑development programs, the festival launches a summer platform designed to support independent creators and connect them to a year‑round network of opportunities.

Applications and guidelines are available at www.30minutesfestival.com.

Designed as part of Combined Artform's growing live‑performance ecosystem, the festival continues the organization's mission to create accessible opportunities for independent artists to develop work, build audiences and extend the life of productions beyond a single run.

The 30–60 Minute Festival was created for artists looking to put work on its feet quickly and professionally, whether developing a new project, extending a successful Fringe run, preparing for Edinburgh Fringe or exploring future touring and remote‑performance opportunities.

“At Combined Artform, we believe theatre thrives when artists have more opportunities to create, experiment and stay visible,” said Matthew V. Quinn, co-founder of Combined Artform. “The goal isn't simply to produce another festival. It's to help artists build momentum and create sustainable pathways for their work.”

The festival will feature both 30‑minute and 60‑minute productions, offering flexibility for solo performers, ensemble pieces, works‑in‑progress and fully realized shows. Participants receive performance slots, technical support, promotional support, a ticketing platform and access to Combined Artform's network of artists, producers and collaborators.

The organization sees the festival as part of a larger response to the changing realities of independent theatre production in Los Angeles. As development opportunities continue to shrink across the industry, Combined Artform has focused on building projects that lower barriers for artists while encouraging experimentation, collaboration and audience growth.

“We're seeing many artists searching for ways to continue the life of their projects after participating at a Fringe, test work before touring or simply reconnect with live audiences without overwhelming financial barriers,” Quinn added. “This festival exists to support those next steps.”

The 30–60 Minute Festival joins Combined Artform's broader festival initiative, which includes the annual January 30 Minutes or Less Festival and a growing network of artist‑development partnerships throughout Southern California –reinforcing the organization's commitment to year‑round support for emerging and established creators.
