For details on this and upcoming events please visit https://www.limusichalloffame.org/museum/ About CHUCK SILVERSTEIN & HIS FERTILE IMGINATION Chuck Silverstein and His Fertile Imagination is one of those bands that is hard to squeeze into a pigeon hole. Since we just don't fit into any known genre, we decided to create our own. Quasi Pseudo Psycho Ragtime Americana Folk Rap with just a little bit of Dime-store Philosophy in every song Our music is acoustic, funny, quirky and has broad appeal. Chuck's original compositions draw from the swing, folk, old time, blues, ragtime and singer songwriter traditions. The songs are the result of the band's unique sensibilities and there is indeed a bit of dime-store philosophy in every tune. Playing standup bass, bass guitar and vocals is Dave Ice. "Ice" is quite simply one of Long Island's most in-demand bass players. He is a founding member of The Johnny Mac Band. He also serves as the bass player in High Low Jacks, The Joe Roberts Quartet and has played bass with Tiberius. The band also features Mike Ringle on percussion. A true student of percussion, Mike cut his teeth playing with wedding bands and is most well known as the house drummer at The Homestead in Oyster Bay. Mike is a true showman and plays with a flair rarely seen in modern day drummers. Originally from Long Island, Chuck Silverstein had an extensive career in music back in his twenties when he was based in North Carolina. His band played all over the south, toured the midwest (twice) and toured the state of Florida twice as well. Appearances include the Wheatland Festival, Brandywine Music Festival, Kent State Folk Festival and more.
