CM Performing Arts Center is giving audiences a first look at the highly anticipated Long Island Premiere of ROCKY The Musical, now playing through September 20th at The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre.
Based on the Academy Award-winning film Rocky, the stage musical brings the inspirational story of underdog boxer Rocky Balboa to life with an energetic score, powerful performances, and an unforgettable journey about determination, perseverance, and believing in yourself.
The production follows Rocky, a small-time Philadelphia boxer who gets the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step into the ring with the reigning heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed. Along the way, Rocky discovers that winning is about more than the final score. It is about having the courage to rise to the challenge and go the distance.
As the Long Island Premiere, CM Performing Arts Center's production offers audiences the opportunity to experience this beloved story in a whole new way, combining the heart and spirit of the classic film with the excitement of live musical theatre.
The production runs through September 20th at CM Performing Arts Center, located in Oakdale, New York.
