Foa, Kind, Ojeda, Etc. Join Bay Street 'Lady in Question'
Barrett Foa, Richard Kind, Perry Ojeda, Candy Buckley and Ana Reeder join the previously announced Charles Busch, Julie Halston, Matt McGrath and Larry Keith for Busch's The Lady in Question, which plays the Bay Street Theatre in Long Island later this month. Directed by Christopher Ashley (All Shook Up, Xanadu), it will begin previews August 14th, open August 18th and run through September 2nd.
Foa (Spelling Bee, Avenue Q) will play "Nazi with a heart of gold" Karel Freiser, with Ojeda (On the Town) as Professor Erik Maxwell, Kind (The Producers, Bounce) as Wilhelm Von Elsner, Buckley (Cabaret) as Raina Aldric and Baroness Augusta Von Elsner and Reeder (Sight Unseen) as Heidi Mittelhoffer. Halston plays Gertrude's best friend Kitty, the Countess of Borgia, McGrath as 12 year old Lotte Von Elsner and Keith as Professor Mittelhoff and Doktor Maximilian.
"The suspenseful tale begins as Garnet, a glamorous diva and self-obsessed concert pianist on tour in the heart of Bavaria, finds her colossal ego challenged when a handsome American professor engages her aid in rescuing his mother from a Nazi prison," states press materials.
