The Award Winning FTC Theater Company, at the Performing Arts Center in Dix Hills, NY presents the Five Time Tony Award Winning Show DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS.
A comedy musical with music and lyrics by David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane. The show Dirty Rotten Scoundrels premiered in San Diego, California in September, 2004 before moving to Broadway for its official opening at the Imperial Theater in March, 2005. It is based on the 1988 film of the same name, which starred Michael Caine and Steve Martin.
The show is about a con-artist/serial philanderer named Lawrence Jameson, and his protégé Freddy Benson who swindle women as their livelihood. The protégé would see himself as a master. So Lawrence and Freddy make a bet on Christine Colgate, each seeking to prove himself "top-dog." Unknown to them, Christine is the best swindler of the three, known in cosmopolitan criminal circles as "The Jackal." Hilarity ensues as the three pursue the most elaborate scam of their careers.
With well known songs such as "What Was a Woman to Do?" "Give Them What They Want" "Here I Am" and "Great Big Stuff," Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a rollicking evening reminiscent of crime film-noir, a Broadway spectacular.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is Directed by Stanley Bahorek and Musically Directed by Ron Land. Come see this production Thursday November 15th at 7:30 pm, Friday November 16th at 7:30 pm, Saturday November 17th at 7:30 pm, and Sunday 11/18 at 3 pm. Tickets are $18 for adults, and $15 Students and Seniors.
