The Book Club Play by Karen Zacarías is a smart, hilarious comedy about books and the people who love them. Ana’s cherished book club is turned upside down when a documentary crew captures their intimate conversations—and their secrets. Add a bold new member, surprising book choices, and a healthy dose of chaos, and you’ve got a witty look at what books (and friends) reveal about us. Whether you’re a voracious reader or just love a good laugh, The Book Club Play is a delightful reflection on life, love, literature and the side-splitting results when friends start reading between the lines.
“A delightful, fresh comedy … distinctive, sharp and exceptionally well written.” —Talkin’ Broadway
“The show is a celebration for all booklovers everywhere. By the end, you honestly feet like part of the book club.” —broadwayworld.com
