Archaeologist Caitie Barrett takes audiences on assignment to the latest dig sites at Pompeii to uncover new stories still buried in the ancient city. Volcanic ash preserved an unparalleled glimpse into the lives of ancient people who lived, worked, and played in this coastal city. Barrett is an Associate Professor of Classics at Cornell University and co-directs the Casa della Regina Carolina archaeological excavation at Pompeii, with specializations including Mediterranean and Egyptian archaeology, household archaeology, and the archaeology of religion and ritual.
