The New Play Lab is part of the 43rd William Inge Theatre Festival, held April 23-25 in Independence, Kansas, featuring 13 playwrights whose scripts are presented in rehearsed readings with professional feedback from respondents Carla Steen of the Guthrie Theatre, Ernie Nolan of the Unicorn Theatre, and Robert Ross Parker, co-founder of Vampire Cowboys. The Lab is workshopped by Andrew Rosendorf of Six Points Theater and directed by Morgan Hicks, Michael Lluberes, and Ashley Hovell. Readings run April 23-24 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and feature an ensemble of professional and student actors including Joe Bizner, Reece Edwards, Maya Jackson, Michael Lopetrone, and Paul Molnar, among others.
