Producers of “Spectacles of Ecdysiastic Pageantry” Lily Verlaine and Jasper McCann are searching for the perfect pair to play the shared, lead role of Alice in casting for their 2022 season of Through The Looking Glass: The Burlesque Alice in Wonderland (Rehearsals begin September 1, performances are September 21-25).

This role requires alchemy between dancers and height that is within two inches in the pair. Adult humans over the age of 21 of all sizes, sexes, genders and ethnic backgrounds with strong dance and theater skill-sets are encouraged to apply. These roles require partial nudity (pasties and g strings are always worn). Please be comfortable with this aspect before auditioning, and direct any questions to themasquelynmonroe@gmail.com

Audition attire is dance clothing; low heeled character shoes are the preferred footwear.

In this audition experience, we invite you to demonstrate the concept of a mirror reflection. We will be teaching existing material from the show that visually supports this concept… your interpretation might tell a new story for Alice!

If you do not have a person with whom you regularly dance, please come solo and perhaps you will find your other half behind the velvet rope of Wonderland’s most exclusive nightclub, The Looking Glass.
