Penguin Rep Theatre, a nonprofit, professional theatre located in Stony Point (Rockland County), New York seeks Box Office Assistant for hire beginning in March/April. The Box Office Assistant is responsible for assisting patrons with ticket purchasing and delivery, and providing information pertaining to the venue and/or event. Responsibilities: • Process phone, mail, online and Box Office sales of tickets and member subscriptions. • Process purchases through various methods; including cash, credit, checks and gift certificates • Assist customers using ticketing software • Assist with guest management • Distribute tickets • Process ticket exchanges • Assist patrons with seat selection • Resolve issues as they arise, and escalate concerns to management when necessary • Respond to inquiries related to show and ticket information • Provide information on productions via phone, email and in person at the Box Office Job Requirements: • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills • Knowledge of technology. • Detail oriented • Strong customer service skills • Ability to work independently • Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends Contact Andrew M.
