Lonestar, Josh Turner & THE GOONIES 40th Anniversary Event Announced At Florida Theatre

Florida Theatre has announced a new lineup of events coming to its Jacksonville venue in 2026 and 2027, featuring country music performances and a special anniversary film screening event.

Country group Lonestar will perform with special guest Katie O on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Known for hits including “Amazed,” “No News,” and “Come Cryin' to Me,” the band has earned multiple Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association awards and has sold more than 10.5 million records worldwide. Jacksonville-based singer-songwriter Katie O, a former contestant on both The Voice and American Idol, will open the evening.

Country artist Josh Turner will bring his This Country Music Thing Tour to the Florida Theatre on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. The tour supports Turner's tenth studio album and celebrates more than two decades of hits including “Long Black Train,” “Your Man,” “Would You Go with Me,” and “Why Don't We Just Dance.” Turner's latest album, This Country Music Thing, debuted in the Top 10 on the Country Albums chart.

The theater also announced a 40th anniversary screening of The Goonies on Friday, April 2, 2027 at 7:30 p.m., featuring a live conversation with cast members Corey Feldman and Kerri Green. Following the screening, the actors will participate in a live Q&A discussing behind-the-scenes stories and memories from the film. Limited VIP meet-and-greet packages will also be available.
