Masters of Tradition 2026 at Bantry, Co. Cork (various venues)

Masters of Tradition 2026 is a multi-day festival of traditional music curated by Artistic Director Martin Hayes, featuring concerts, conversations, and unique musical experiences. Performers include Charlie Piggott and his son Rowan Piggott, The Weaving featuring Méabh Ní Bheaglaoich, Owen Spafford, and Cáit Ní Riain, as well as Ciarán Ó Gealbháin, Louise Mulcahy, Portuguese musician Tiago Matias, cellist Clíodhna Ní Aodáin, and fiddle virtuoso Ryan Young. The festival includes a world premiere of Irish Rhapsody by Selena O'Neill, performed by Aoife Ní Bhriain and Cormac McCarthy, alongside a new companion work by composer Seán Doherty. A Cainteanna talks series and popular Secret Concerts in surprise locations across the Bantry area also feature throughout the festival.
