0800-CUPID is a queer, genre-defying music theatre show written and performed by Emer Dineen, produced by THISISPOPBABY and directed by Phillip McMahon. The show charts a surreal year in Dineen's life — navigating her father's dementia diagnosis, a Tourette's diagnosis, a nightlife career in drag as club-kid alter ego 'Cupid', and the loss of her call-centre job, all set against the pulse of London's club scene. Featuring a live band with Tom Beech, Michael McCarthy, and Osazee Aiguokhian, alongside cast members Isabel Adomakoh Young and Carl Harrison, the show transforms the stage into an avant-garde nightclub-meets-concert experience. Originally hailed as a standout hit at the 2024 festival, the show went on to receive rapturous acclaim at Soho Theatre, London, before embarking on this nationwide Irish tour.
