Greg Evigan to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Young Entertainer Awards

The Young Entertainer Awards Foundation has announced that actor, singer, songwriter, and Broadway performer Greg Evigan will receive the organization's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 10th & 11th Annual Young Entertainer Awards, taking place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the historic Harmony Gold Theatre in Hollywood.

This year's ceremony marks a special milestone as the organization celebrates both its 10th Anniversary and 11th Annual Awards presentation, recognizing projects from the 2024 and 2025 eligibility years. Following the devastating Southern California wildfires that impacted many families within the entertainment community, the Foundation chose to postpone its planned 2025 in-person celebration. The June 2026 event will reunite the Young Entertainer community for a special double celebration before returning to its regular annual schedule. The event will honor outstanding young performers and projects from both eligibility years, recognizing excellence in film, television, theater, music, voiceover, streaming media, digital content creation, podcasting, directing, writing, and live performance.

The Young Entertainer Awards Lifetime Achievement Award is reserved for individuals who began their careers as young performers and have gone on to make a lasting impact on the entertainment industry while inspiring future generations. This year's honoree embodies that mission perfectly.Greg Evigan launched his professional career on Broadway in the original touring company of Jesus Christ Superstar before landing the starring role of Danny Zuko in Broadway's hit production of Grease. He later rose to national prominence as the star of the hit television series B.J. and the Bear and became a household favorite through the beloved NBC sitcom My Two Dads, which featured Evigan's co-written and performed theme song, "You Can Count on Me."

Throughout a career spanning more than five decades, Evigan has starred in 13 television series, more than 30 television movies, 19 feature films, and over 100 television guest appearances, while simultaneously building a successful career as a recording artist and songwriter.Beyond acting, Evigan has enjoyed a successful music career, writing and performing songs throughout his career. He co-wrote "Mirror Image" with his son, acclaimed songwriter and producer Jason Evigan, for the Gold-certified Osborne Family Album. More recently, Evigan co-wrote a track featured on Meghan Trainor's album Timeless and continues to collaborate creatively with Jason Evigan, whose credits include Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Madonna, David Guetta, Benson Boone, and numerous chart-topping artists. The father-son duo represents a multi-generational entertainment legacy rooted in creativity, storytelling, and music.

Throughout his career, Evigan has championed the collaborative spirit of entertainment, recognizing that every successful production is built upon the contributions of an entire team. That philosophy closely aligns with the Young Entertainer Awards' mission of celebrating not only achievement, but also the community that helps make those achievements possible.

Past Young Entertainer Awards Lifetime Achievement recipients include international music superstar Fergie, actor and musician Corey Feldman, acclaimed director Kevin Tancharoen, and renowned choreographer Teresa Espinosa.
