Short & Stout, the Third Annual Short Play Festival: The American Family at The District Theatre

Short plays are fun, punchy and sometimes, incredibly moving. Short & Stout is a festival designed to celebrate this unique art form. American Lives Theatre has found 19 of the brightest, funniest, smartest short plays around and all of them reflect on The American Family.

All weekend long, you can see the very best short plays at this festival. Go see an 85-minute program, grab a drink on the Avenue, and then repeat UP TO FOUR times without seeing anything twice!
