The Marriage Matinee

The Marriage Matinee

The Marriage Matinee is the joint effort of Mr. and Mrs. Caraker, a husband-and-wife team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Now celebrating more than ten years of marriage, they’ve built an equally lasting relationship with Indy’s vibrant theater community.

Dylan Caraker is no stranger to the local stage, having participated in more than 20 productions across Indianapolis as both a performer and a techie. While career life (and married life) pulled him briefly away from the spotlight, his passion for theater never faded—making this opportunity to return to the arts and share his reflections especially meaningful.

Celeste Caraker has long sought to integrate the arts into her everyday life. She previously served as a teacher in a performing arts–centered elementary school in downtown Indy, where she focused on inspiring the next generation of performers and theatergoers alike.

When they’re not attending shows, this husband-and-wife team can often be found exploring vintage markets and art fairs—or hitting the trails at local hiking and walking spots, typically bookending those outings with a stop for local flavors in Broad Ripple or Carmel.

Together, they hope to bring a thoughtful, balanced, and dual-sided perspective to the theatrical endeavors of Indy’s finest performers—for better or for worse.
