CHAKRAVYUH is a dance-drama production presented by Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra's Kendra Dance Repertory, rooted in the Mahabharata and focused on Abhimanyu's courageous attempt to penetrate the Chakravyuh battle formation devised by the Kauravas. The production blends classical Indian dance forms—including Chhau, Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and Kathakali—with updated choreography by Shashidharan Nair, original music, and intricate costumes and lighting. Mentored by Shobha Deepak Singh and Gauri S. Keeling, the production explores themes of courage, conflict, and the consequences of war through martial movement traditions that evoke the spirit of the epic.
