श्रीDURGA at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi

श्रीDURGA, presented by Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra's Kendra Dance Repertory, is a dance-drama rooted in Devi mythology, being staged after a three-year gap. The production begins with the creation of Durga, summoned to vanquish the demon Mahishasura, and unfolds through the emergence of Kali, who destroys Raktabeej to restore cosmic order. Choreographed by Shashidharan Nair and mentored by Shobha Deepak Singh and Gauri S. Keeling, the work draws on classical Indian dance forms including Chhau, Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and Odissi, presenting the Goddess in both her serene and fierce manifestations.
