Hedwig is an internationally ignored rock star with an unforgettable story to tell. Raised in Communist East Germany, abandoned by lovers, betrayed by fame, and fueled by anthems that demand to be played at full volume, Hedwig takes the stage for one unforgettable night of music, heartbreak, and unapologetic self-invention. Backed by a blistering live band, this musical follows Hedwig's lifelong search for love and belonging. Text by John Cameron Mitchell, music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed with Music Director John Amar.
