As part of the Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra's Brahms Festival, Brahms vs Wagner places the music of two towering 19th-century composers in direct conversation. The program features Brahms' Academic Festival Overture and Symphony No. 4 alongside Richard Wagner's Wotan's Farewell and Magic Fire Music from Die Walküre. The concert also includes the world premiere of a Pacific Brahms Commission by composer Alice Chance. Music & Artistic Director Dane Lam conducts.
