Masterworks: Brahms Festival: Brahms & Destiny is part of the Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra's city-wide Brahms festival, featuring all four Brahms symphonies in conversation with new Pacific commissions. Conductor Dane Lam leads the Oʻahu Choral Society in a program that includes the world premiere of a Pacific Brahms commission by Nilo Alcala, Brahms' Song of Destiny, a collaborative arrangement of The Black Swan by Brahms and Bright Sheng, and Brahms' Symphony No. 3. The concert takes place at the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall as part of the HSO's 15th anniversary season, Resonance.
