Pamela Carter won with their song "Skåne" 2012 the work order of the Berlin theatertreffen. The head of theatertreffen, Yvonne Büdenhölzer wrote about this piece:
In "Skåne" on German, Scania, tells Pamela Carter in reverse by a failed affair, which ends in a family reunion or so starts in the chronology of the piece. Carter has written an atmospherically dense Kammerspiel and found a strong form through its artifice, to tell the story backwards. Their very clever dramaturgy makes many spaces and are exciting stringency the theme often heard at first glance. Although it is clear at the beginning how it ends, the piece by surprises, change of perspective and a pinch of convinced humor. The figures are remarkably precise and beautifully drawn. Especially the children, who are much smarter than their parents, feature their own characteristics between middle-aged recalcitrance, childlike naivete and besserwisserischer easy ways. Carter's piece is the brilliant clash of innocent, unpredictable love and how they affect relationships that we presume to know so well.
