Whether you call yourself Parisian or you're just visiting the City of Love, Broadway au Carré is the new hot ticket in Paris to get your American musical theatre fix, along with a good glass of red wine.

Once a month, you can kick off your Wednesday evening at Le Carré Parisien, a typical Parisian café and cave-à-vins, with a cabaret concert by a featured performer, followed by an open mic, where some of the best local artists gather to belt out their favorite Broadway show tunes. Broadway au Carré also features a new musical theatre composer each month, with a set of songs that have never been performed in Europe before. The list of featured composers this season includes Will Van Dyke, Daniel Mate, Andrew Byrne, Peter Saxe, Niko Tsakalakos, Scott Burkell and Paul Loesel, among others.

June 4th is the date to remember if you want to come to Broadway au Carré's next show. This month the evening will start with the cabaret concert 'Paris-Broadway International', featuring lead performers Lauren Berkman and Lisandro Nesis and several guests, accompanied by John Florencio on the piano and directed by Stéphane Ly-Cuong. The two cities that never sleep are linked in this show through Golden Age and contemporary American musical theatre songs. An international tour starting next summer will include shows in Buenos Aires, Casablanca and New York.

The second part of the Broadway au Carré evening on June 4th will include the "American Composers, European Premieres" set and an American musical theatre open mic, both accompanied by John Florencio. The featured composer of the month will be Niko Tsakalakos, whose songs will be performed for the first time in Europe by Juanita Harris, Jessica Gabrielle, Sonia Kiang, Lisandro Nesis, Kaïna Blada and Adam Benghiat.

Broadway au Carré takes place once a month on Wednesday evenings at Le Carré Parisien located at 1, rue du Général Beuret, 75015 Paris, France. Doors open at 7 pm, showtime at 7:30 pm followed by an Open Mic and the American Composers, European Premieres set at 9 pm. 8€ cover charge includes a drink. Reservations required at reservationscarreparisien@gmail.com.
