Broward Center presents DISASTER! featuring a Q&A with Creator, Seth Rudetsky

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Slow Burn Theatre Company present the comic musical Disaster! Thursday, February 8-Sunday, February18 in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center.

Combining some of the most unforgettable songs of the '70s and the wildest plots of that era's films, Disaster! charmed Broadway audiences and garnered rave reviews on London's West End. "Knock on Wood," "Hooked on a Feeling," "Sky High," "I Am Woman" and "Hot Stuff" are just a few of the hits that fuel the comedy as a night of boogie fever among New York's hottest A-listers at the opening of a floating casino discotheque quickly changes to panic when the ship succumbs to multiple disasters.

Diaster! has a book by three-time Emmy Award nominee and SiriusXM Broadway host, Seth Rudetsky, and Jack Plotnick based on a concept created by Rudetsky and Drew Geraci. Rudetsky will host a talkback Q&A with the audience exclusively after the performance on Thursday, February 15. All patrons with a valid ticket for that performance are invited to stay after the show to participate.

Directed and choreographed by Slow Burn Theatre Artistic Director Patrick Fitzwater, this production is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

Starting one hour prior to the performances held at the Broward Center and during intermission, sumptuous sandwiches, salads, snacks and desserts are available for purchase with convenient walk-up service. A full cash bar is also available.

Performances in the first week are Thursday-Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6 p.m. In week two, show times are Wednesday-Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 1 and 6 p.m. The musical then moves to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center for performances Thursday, February 22 - Sunday, February 25.

Tickets to the performances at the Broward Center are $45. Ticketmaster is the only official ticketing service of the Broward Center, Parker Playhouse and affiliated venues. Buy tickets online at BrowardCenter.org or Ticketmaster.com; by phone at 954.462.0222 or the Broward Center's AutoNation Box Office. Know who you are buying from when you purchase tickets.
