Set one hundred years ago in France, THE RADIANT centers on the true, tempestuous life of the brilliant Madame Marie Curie. Widowed with two young children, she becomes involved with her young married assistant, rocking Paris, and nearly ruining her extraordinary career and her very life. All the while, she isolates her discovery of radium and earns her second Nobel Prize -- revolutionizing science forever, as she ushers both “The Atomic Age” and the first cure for cancer.

FEMALE; Polish, but in France many years. Late 30’s- mid-40s. Ethereal beauty – ash blond, small, graceful, piercing eyes. Brilliant, unique, complex woman of great strength, drive. Can be severe, steely, but emotionally vulnerable.
