SEEKING

Equity chorus dancers (male characters) for future replacements in the Broadway production of ALADDIN.

The audition process is open to actors of all races and ethnicities, gender identities and ages, as well as performers with disabilities. Expected to attend: Michael Callahan (Dance Captain) and Kevin Metzger-Timson (Casting Director).

The musical stage production of Aladdin on Broadway is a spectacle adventure based on a tale that has been reimagined time and again across many cultures. We acknowledge the tremendous cultural responsibility inherent in adapting this timeless fable, which draws on tales from Africa, Arabia, China, Europe, India, Persia, and Russia. Our adaptation is deeply indebted to the rich and diverse tapestry of Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian (MENASA) cultures, languages, and aesthetic traditions.

Please note that this production will use smoke and haze in accordance with guidelines established with Actors’ Equity Association.

ECC procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided.

ENSEMBLE DANCERS

Excellent dancers with fantastic singing voices to comprise the ensemble, play featured roles, and possibly understudy principal roles.

PREPARATION

Male-presenting dancers should bring jazz shoes or sneakers. Please bring a hard copy headshot and resume. You may be asked to stay and sing; please bring sheet music in the correct key for 16 bars of a traditional up-tempo musical theatre song that shows range. An accompanist will be provided.
