Synopsis: Somewhere in America, an army of pre-teen competitive dancers plots to take over the world. And if their new routine is good enough, they’ll claw their way to the top at Nationals in Tampa Bay. A play about ambition, growing up, and how to find our souls in the heat of it all.

Synopsis: Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST tells the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Synopsis: Based on the 2005 British film by the same name; Charlie Price inherits a shoe factory from his father and forms a partnership and a friendship with Lola, a drag queen, to produce high-heeled boots and save the shoe business.

SEEKING:

CHARLIE PRICE - Late twenties. A bit confused, a bit unfocused, a hero hiding under a victim’s mantle. Rock belt.

YOUNG CHARLIE - Charlie Price as a seven-year-old boy. Lost, quiet, reflective.

LOLA/SIMON - Early thirties. A heterosexual drag performer with a killer voice and winning ways.

YOUNG LOLA/SIMON - This is LOLA as a ten-year-old boy who already knows he’s destined to wear high heels.

NICOLA - Twenties. Charlie’s long-term girlfriend. Driven, uncompromising. Pop voice.

LAUREN - Twenties. Strong working class girl. Belt and pop.

DON - Lola’s nemesis. Burly hypermasculine bear of a factory worker.

PAT - Officious office manager who will let loose her wild side when allowed. Lola’s love interest.

TRISH - Factory worker with a husband and kids to worry over.

GEORGE - Factory manager keeping up traditions. Reserved.

MR. PRICE - Charlie’s father in the opening and closing sequences.

SIMON SR - Lola’s father. An unforgiving tower of anger.

HARRY - A contemporary of Charlie’s but his opposite. He is successful, self aware, and confident.

RICHARD BAILEY - Nicola’s boss. An overtly attractive and successful man.

Synopsis: One family. One holiday. Four millennia. The Levi-Katz family celebrates Passover again and again (and again and again) and while times, location, and languages change, traditions stay the same. Over matzah ball soup and (vegan) brisket, the close-knit clan contends with questions of race, religion, and inter-generational trauma. The present echoes the past—and the past the present—as the family repeatedly reenacts the exodus from Egypt, each time asking themselves: must we define ourselves through trauma? Will we ever be free? And why is this night different from all other nights?

Synopsis: Naveen Gavaskar just wants a traditional Hindu marriage to a nice Indian boy. While his parents are trying to wrap their heads around this, his older sister returns home and drops a bombshell of her own. A family comedy about love and marriage today- gay or straight, arranged or not.

Synopsis: FELA! is the true story of the legendary Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, whose music ignited a generation. Inspired by his mother, a civil rights champion, he defied a corrupt and oppressive military government and devoted his life and music to the struggle for freedom and human dignity.

Fela Anikulapo-Kuti - Nigerian Afrobeat musician and political activist.

Sandra - Fela’s girlfriend, Black American and a firm believer in Black power. Also part of the ENSEMBLE.

Funmilayo - Fela’s mother, Nigerian. She only appears as a ghost and communicates with Fela through song. Also part of the ENSEMBLE.
