Seeking
Strong pop/rock singers who move with a young, kinetic energy for ALL ROLES in JASPER IN DEADLAND. All performers should be gifted character actors as they will be required to play multiple roles. We will be seeing those age 18+ at this call.
Preparation
Be prepared to sing two contemporary musical theatre songs. Each selection should be no longer than a verse and a chorus.

Breakdown
JASPER – 17, awkward, loner, hard to connect with others and has difficulty expressing his true feelings (tenor)
GRETCHEN/AGNES– 17, alt/indie rock cool chick, comes from a broken home, sarcastic, puts on a tough front to cover up her wounds, in reality is a cool kid (belty alto/mezzo, edgier rock sound helpful)
MR. LETHE – 30's, crazy psycopathic CEO, flamboyant in a fun but scary way, must have some gravitas to him (baritone)
CHUCKSTER/LOKI – 20's, Chuckster is a dangerous and funny redneck hick, Loki is an operatic oversized underbrained Norse God
BEATRIX/HEL – 20's-30's, Beatrix is a 2,000 year old wacky but loving and understanding transit worker, Hel is also an operatic oversized underbrained Norse God (soprano belt/legit)
AMMUTT/HATHAWAY – 20's-30's, Ammutt is a sassy civil servant that is part leopard, part crocodile and part hippo, Hathaway is Mr. Lethe's trusty assistant (belt, must have some edge and some soul, vocal part doesn't matter as long as she can wail, ideally ethnic of some kind)
PERSEPHONE – 20's, an ancient God who speaks in the modern vernacular, very compassionate (alto/mezzo belt)
PLUTO – 20's-30's, weepy ruler of the underworld in desperate love with Persephone (baritenor)
LESTER – 20's, a former lawyer who craftily works his way up from lowly attendance taker to Persphone's divorce attorney (tenor)
