HOUSE CALL, a 10-minute musical comedy, part of Theatre Now’s SOUND BITES 10th Annual Festival of 10-minute musicals.
SOUND BITES grants composers, lyricists, and librettists the opportunity to present their work in front of a live audience of theatre-goers and industry professionals. Theatre Now is a non-profit theatre company dedicated to new musicals with a history of developing shows that move on to regional and commercial productions. Actively seeking a diverse cast. Actors of all ethnicities, gender identities, and backgrounds are strongly encouraged to submit.
NANCY PELOSI – (50+, white, she/her) Yes, THAT Nancy Pelosi. Power belter who can carry a country with her mix. Able to rock a power suit. Strong diction and flexibility throughout range (C4-F5).
BECCA – (late 20s–early 30s, Black, she/her) A passionate socialist who believes our politicians can and should do more for us. Strong alto with lots of presence in the bottom of staff (B3-C5).
CHARLIE – (late 20s–early 30s, any ethnicity, he/him) Naive liberal who believes the world is only as big as the space he occupies. Legit baritone, comfortable in a pop context as well. Kind of a Groban type (C3-E4).
