Seeking Male and Female actor/singers with great comedic timing.
Brand new musical comedy. Set in 1993, "Cloned!" is the story of the brilliant, but egocentric young scientist Wally Waterman, who accidentally clones himself while trying to invent a teleportation device. Hilarity ensues.
NOTE: WALLY and CLONE WALLY are supposed to look identical to each other. Have a "twin?" (Or, even better, an actual twin?) Submit together. Legitimate joint submissions of this nature will be moved to the top of the pile.
WALLY:
Mid-20s, brilliant particle physicist enrolled in a prestigious PhD program in New York. Ambitious and self-absorbed, with a decidedly nerdy charisma. Voice: Tenor.
CLONE WALLY:
(to be played by an actor separate from the actor playing Wally) See: WALLY for description.
IZZY:
Mid-20s. Wally's best friend and a colleague in his PhD program. Short, quirky, neurotic biophysicist. Brilliant and longing to be loved by Wally. Voice: Mezzo, with strong belt.
MR. CHOI:
40s. Wally's Korean landlord, secretly a North Korean operative; even more secretly, a poet. Must be able to do a Korean accent. Voice: Tenor.
FIZZ:
Mid-20s. Wally's roommate. Big-time stoner. Small-time philosopher. Voice: Baritone/Tenor
DR. MARSHALL:
Late 50s-Early 60s: Wally's seemingly benevolent mentor. Dr. Marshall is secretly in cahoots with Mr. Choi and hiding a sinister past. Voice: Baritone/Bass.
EVELYN:
60+, to play Early 80s. Wally's sweet, mild-mannered upstairs neighbor. Voice: Alto/Mezzo.
SHARON STONE:
Yes. That Sharon Stone. The actress, in her mid-30s. She is not your typical Sharon Stone. She is kind, brilliant, with an effortless charm and exceptional skills in everything from winemaking to mountain climbing. Voice: Mezzo/Soprano.
