SEEKING:
CINDY: Any ethnicity, female (18+ to play high schooler) A bright heroine who finds her confidence in a sea of high school drama. She is charming, spunky, mouthy and funny. She is destined for greatness, and she is on her way to find that out. Pop-belt vocal.
LEANORA: Latina, female (18+ to play high schooler) She is fabulous in every sense of the word. She is sharp-tongued in a “Mean Girls” sort of way. Popular, pretty, predictable. She’s a flirt with the boys and enjoys being a villain. Pop vocal.
TOMMY: Any ethnicity, male (18+ to play high schooler) A scholar with charm and ambition. He is thoughtful, kind and the school’s dreamy teen idol who is totally oblivious to his appeal. Tenor.
BUDDY: Any ethnicity, male (18+ to play high schooler) A physically fit high school track star. His focus is not studying, but rather racing to the top of the leader board, getting into the varsity team, and ultimately being in the Olympics. Great dancer. Tap dance (basic) required – nothing complicated. Baritone/Tenor.
SOUL SISTER: Black female (35-50) A disco diva Fairy Godmother. A woman who knows about life. She is bold and strong and has a heart of gold. She has larger than life superstar presence! She is Beyoncé and Octavia Spencer. Pop vocal with a strong mix
