Re: Both Your Houses Submission
PLEASE: Actors who have already submitted through Actors Access should not resubmit by e-mail.
BOTH YOUR HOUSES is the story of the political machinations of passing a massive appropriations bill in 1933. An idealistic young member of Congress tries to fight against the long entrenched system of pork and graft with comic and all too tragically true-life results. A wonderfully frank and detailed behind the scenes portrait of political life in the 1930s (and today).
Please submit for ONLY ONE ROLE. This breakdown is for casting purposes; actors will be considered for all appropriate roles and for roles not listed. Any Principal may be asked to double in a smaller role as well.

Eddie Winter 30-45. Polished young congressman in Big Steel's pocket
Solomon Fitzmaurice 55-69 Senior member of Congress. Impish. Honest and corrupt.

Simeon Gray 55-69, Chairman of Appropriations Committee. Venerable and seemingly incorruptible.
Levering 45-65, Majority Whip. Caustic and demanding.
Merton 25-39, Congressional secretary. Fawning and double-dealing.

Bus 35-55. Long time Congressional secretary. Outspoken and clever.
