SYNOPSIS: A PLAY ABOUT A MOTHER WHO LOST A DAUGHTER AND IS IN THE PROCESS OF
LOSING ANOTHER ONE.

SEEKING:

NATALIE: A black mother. Borderline alcoholic...bourbon is her drink of choice. Witty and sharp as a
tack, she used to be the type of lawyer that ABC shows are made about. She compartmentalizes
in order to stay above water.

QUEEN: A black daughter. Wild, wise, and larger than life. She is the life of the party...that is until
the party realizes she is having her own party untethered from them. Like the greats we’ve lost
too soon, she is ahead of her time. We see two Queens. The first is the calmer ghost of the
vibrant firecracker we are introduced to second.

PRINCESS: A black daughter. Stubborn, boring, and a reluctant warrior. She was the goody two
shoes in every academic situation. Rules make sense...until they don’t. She is fighting hard so that
she doesn’t have to feel the pain.

TOM: That handsome white guy who thinks he can help and is educated enough to know
the vocabulary of ally ship. He doesn’t want to be another white guy pretending he’s a savior...but let's
be real...To Kill A Mockingbird is his favorite book.
