Collection of six one-act plays (“Sure Thing”, “Words, Words, Words”, “The Universal Language”, “Philip Glass Buys A Loaf of Bread”, “The Philadelphia” and “Variations on the Death of Trotsky”). This new production marks the first major revival of in New York City since its original production.
Seeking actors of all ethnicities. All roles are available. This breakdown reflects the fact that each actor will appear in one or more one-act:
Betty / Kafka / First Woman / Mrs. Trotsky:
Multi-character track (females, mid 20s - mid 30s) for one actress. Tour-de-force comic; smart and attractive.
Bill / Swift / Don / Philip Glass / Mark:
Multi-character track (males, mid 20s - mid 30s) for one actor. Tall, somewhat attractive, comedic leading man.
Milton / Baker / Al / Trotsky:
Multi-character track (males, mid 20s - mid 30s) for one actor. Character comic, possibly a bigger/shorter guy.
Dawn / Waitress / Second Woman:
Multi-character track (females, mid 20s - mid 30s) for one actress. Sweet-faced, sensible girl waiting to flower; has a child-like quality; sense of humor.
Young Man / Ramon:
Multi-character track (males, mid 20s - mid 30s) for one actor. An everyman type with the ability to be a chameleon; comedic sensibility.
