Tim Realbuto, the NYC based award winning writer and performer, who recently ended a year-long tour of his popular show 'Wunderkind', which he created and starred in about his life growing up in the theatre, will travel all the way to Detroit, Michigan to be a part of the prestigious Detroit Fringe Festival.

Earlier this year, Realbuto's new play YES had its world premiere in NYC as part of the Emerging Artists Theatre's New Work Series. Realbuto wrote, directed and starred in the play, which received very positive feedback. The two-person dramedy also starred actor Joe Blute. Realbuto and Blute will reprise all of their tasks for the Detroit production.

Here's how it's billed: "Yes is a one-act, two-person drama about Patrick Ness (Realbuto), a fading star in his 30's who now teaches private acting lessons in NYC, and the relationship that forms with Jeremiah (Blute), his new teenage student that Patrick happened to see in a high school production of Romeo and Juliet. What begins as an innocent acting lesson turns into a sick game of cat and mouse, resulting in mental torture, sexual advances, and perhaps the destruction of two (possibly) innocent people."

The Detroit production of YES will play on Saturday, September 19th at 9:00 PM at the CMAP Theatre, 2221 Carpenter Street, Detroit, MI. Tickets are priced at a suggested donation of $10. YES runs 70 minutes and will be performed without an intermission. Mr. Realbuto is most known for co-writing and co-directing the Off-Broadway musical 'Ghostlight' alongside his writing partner Matthew Martin. As a performer, he is known for his hugely successful solo shows Alone (With Plenty of Help) at 54 Below and the aforementioned 'Wunderkind', which toured NYC all last year at venues such as Joe's Pub, The Laurie Beechman, and Stage 72, selling out every time. Realbuto then toured 'Wunderkind' across the country, before taking it back to NYC this summer for a run at The New York Musical Theatre Festival and for his final performance at the Triad Theatre on September 1st.

He is also well known for his numerous stage roles, including Hair, Finian's Rainbow, Romeo and Juliet, The Winter's Tale Project, Love's Labours Lost, and the Off-Broadway premiere of White Widow: The Musical. His countless film and television credits include the co- starring role of Jackson Pheiffer opposite Kevin Kline and Jesse Eisenberg in the Universal Pictures release The Emperor's Club, two seasons on Nickelodeon's "The Big Help" alongside Michelle Trachtenberg, and Jimmy on Season One of HBO's "The Sopranos." His onstage credits include Recess Wedding (68 Cent Theatre Company), Mind Games (TBD), The Pregnancy Project (Roy Arias), Echoes (Times Square Performing Arts Center), A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Romeo and Juliet. Mr. Blute is a graduate of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. For more information on Mr. Blute, visit www.joeblute.com.
