The Encore Musical Theatre Company proudly presents A Little Night Music, running September 20th through October 14th, 2018. A Little Night Music is directed and choreographed by Matthew Brennan and music directed by Dr. Joseph D. Daniel.

A Little Night Music is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by Hugh Wheeler. The script was originally produced and directed on Broadway by Hal Prince.

A Little Night Music follows the relationships between members of the wealthy class in Sweden at the turn of the 20th Century. At the heart of the story is Fredrik Egerman, a middle-aged lawyer married to his second wife, the naive yet beautiful Anne, with a son from his first marriage, the gloomy Henrik. Fredrik's world is turned around when an old flame, the famed actress Desiree Armfeldt, finds her way back into his life. The situation grows increasingly complicated as Desiree's jealous (and married) lover, Count Carl-Magnus, receives word of the reunion. The story comes to a head when Desiree convinces her mother, Madame Armfeldt, to invite Fredrik and his family to her lavish country estate for a weekend - an affair that the Count invites himself and his manic depressive wife, Charlotte, to, as well. Winner of four Tony Awards, this is a musical work that has forever entranced the world of theatre. Songs include "The Glamorous Life", "A Weekend in the Country", "The Miller's Son", and the extraordinary "Send in the Clowns".

The Encore's production stars Jay Montgomery (Fredrik) and Kristina Riegle (Desiree); with Emily Hadick (Anne), Clayton Sallee (Henrik), Sebastian Gerstner (Count Carl-Magnus), Leah Fox (Charlotte/Associate Music Director), Anne Bauman (Madame Armfeldt), Olivia Goosman (Fredrika at certain performances), Maryanna Lauter (Fredrika at certain performances), Sarah B. Stevens (Petra), Joel H. Hunter (Frid), Angela Hench (Mrs. Anderssen), Sue Booth (Mrs. Nordstrom), Paige VanSickle (Mrs. Segstrom), William Fishwick (Mr. Erlanson), and Jake Daley (Mr. Lindquist).
