Puzzle Piece Brings Will Eno's TRAGEDY: A TRAGEDY To Ferndale

It is night, the sun has set, will the light ever return? Fortunately, we have an intrepid news team covering events both real and imagined in this existential news broadcast.

TRAGEDY: a tragedy by playwright Will Eno, who the New York Times called "A Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart Generation," closes out Puzzle Piece Theatre's Sixth Season. The play runs March 29 to April 14 and Performances are at 8pm Friday and Saturday evenings, and 2pm on Sundays *please note no performance on Sun. March 31. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased on Puzzle Piece Theatre's website www.puzzlestage.org

"The play deals with how we assign meaning to major events in our lives, the stories we tell, and what it means to be human." said director D.B. Schroeder. "I don't like plays that tidy up all neatly at the ending, I'd much rather work on something that starts a conversation that continues in each audience member's mind long after they leave the theatre. The reason we are named Puzzle Piece Theatre is because of our focus on the audience. We figure out how to tell a given story and then as it plays out on stage, the pieces come into place informed by each audience member's life experiences and frame of reference. When working on a jigsaw puzzle, some people might start with the boarders, another might work from a corner outward. We want the theatre experience to be personal and approachable for our audience."
