The Dio - Dining & Entertainment, Livingston County's professional, award winning dinner theatre, is excited to present a twist on the classic story of Ebeneezer Scrooge this holiday season with Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol by Tom Mula, directed by Sonja Marquis.

"Marley was dead, to begin with..."-and what happens to Ebenezer Scrooge's mean, sour, pruney old business partner after that? Chained and shackled, Marley is condemned to a hellish eternity. He's even given his own private tormentor: a malicious little hell-sprite who thoroughly enjoys his work. Desperate, Marley accepts his one chance to free himself: To escape his own chains, he must first redeem Scrooge. So begins a journey of laughter and terror, redemption and renewal, in this irreverent, funny and deeply moving twist on the traditional Christmas Carol.

Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol features a four person cast, depicting 18 beloved characters, as well as some new ones, with performances by Elizabeth Fritsch, Victor McDermott, Mark Vukelic and Matthew Wallace.

Performances take place at The Dio, 177 E. Main Street, Pinckney Michigan, 48169 from November 24 through December 31, 2017, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. There will be one weekday matinee on Thursday, December 21. There will be no performances on December 24 or December 29.

All tickets include dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. The menu for Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol includes Caesar salad, our fresh buttery breadsticks, stir fry veggies with steamed rice, smashed potatoes with gravy, homemade stuffing, thick sliced roasted turkey breast and baked honey ham with pineapple, plus dessert served during intermission.

Tickets for all performances are available now and may be purchased by visiting diotheatre.com or by calling (517) 672-6009. Seating is limited. Advance reservations are strongly recommended.
