Fifth Annual NIGHT OF IMPROV COMEDY Coming To Sauk

For the fifth year, The Sauk will offer "A Night of Improv Comedy" during Jonesville's annual Riverfest on May 19.

"A Night of Improv Comedy" is performed by GoProv, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Indiana. GoProv uses audience suggestions to create comedy skits to entertain the audience. The fast-paced, hilarious show will have no rehearsal, no script and everything will be made up on the spot. GoProv is celebrating its tenth season as a company.

"Our annual improv night has become a Riverfest tradition," said Trinity Bird, executive director of The Sauk. "It is one of my favorite nights of the year. I love hearing the theatre full of laughter."

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at the Sauk Theatre, 240 E. Chicago in Jonesville. All tickets are $10. Tickets will be available in person at the theatre Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 6 p.m. until showtime. Tickets are also available online at www.thesauk.org.

More information about GoProv, The Sauk and upcoming productions can be found at www.thesauk.org.

The GoProv show is sponsored by Fingertips Apiary. The Sauk's 2018 season is sponsored by Expressions Photography & Design. The Sauk is supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment of the Arts and their program ArtWorks.
