The Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra 17-piece Big Band performs the music of Stan Kenton and Art Pepper at Dazzle Denver on June 28 at 6:00 p.m. Drew Zaremba serves as Artistic Director for the ensemble. Stan Kenton reshaped American big-band music by fusing jazz and classical influences with complex harmonies and adventurous arrangements, while Art Pepper is celebrated for his luminous alto saxophone tone and deeply expressive West Coast jazz phrasing. The CJRO is one of the region's premier jazz ensembles, featuring top-tier musicians dedicated to honoring and expanding the jazz tradition.
