The Vail Dance Festival closes its 2026 season with an evening of 12 new works spanning ballet, tap, Irish dance, and contemporary dance. Choreographers include Alexei Ratmansky, Michelle Dorrance with Chelsea Hoy, Christopher Wheeldon, Tiler Peck, Larry Keigwin, Pam Tanowitz, Chun Wai Chan, Robert Battle, Amanda Treiber, Robbie Fairchild, Takehiro Ueyama, and Lil Buck with Kayla Mak. Performers include dancers from American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, BalletX, and Trinity Irish Dance Company. The performance marks the 20th anniversary of Damian Woetzel's tenure as artistic director.

July 22, 2025 The world-renowned Vail Dance Festival will open its 2025 season this Friday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colorado. Produced by the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation and under the artistic direction of Damian Woetzel, the festival will present 14 performances and more than 40 special events across the Vail Valley through August 5.
